Safer LBG is led by a volunteer board of Directors and has a mix of full time, part time, bank staff and volunteers. Our services are partly commissioned by the States of Guernsey under service level agreements and partly funded by other means such as grants Lloyds Foundation, Community foundation and Social Investment fund as well as other individual donations. Safer is the only provider of these specialist services to the Bailiwick.

Subsidiaries
The majority of the charity’s activities are undertaken in Safer LBG together with two 100% owned subsidiaries as follows:
The Guernsey Child Contact Centre (ch356) GCCC is accredited by the Association of National Contact Centres and provides supervised and supported contact for children with their separated parent. This service assists many families in crisis not just those affected by domestic abuse. www.gccc.gg
Guernsey women’s refuge (ch46) The Refuge was first established in 1998 and became part of Safer in 2014. It provides safe and secure accommodation for women and their children fleeing domestic abuse. Discussions are ongoing with the States of Guernsey regarding a new refuge that will better serve our communities needs.
The updated version of the Committee for Home Affairs’ Domestic Abuse & Sexual violence Strategty sets out goals and actions across four areas of future work: Prepare, Prevent, Protect and Pursue. All these areas are based on tackling pepetrators and supporting victims of domestic abuse or sexual violence.
