“Without Safer I wouldn’t be here, and I’m not sure what would have become of my children.”
In an emergency
Dial 999 and leave the line open, even if you can’t speak.
Arrange a safe place to go
If you need to leave your home suddenly.
Memorise important phone numbers
Make a list of safe contacts.
Locate the nearest phone you can use
If your phone is not safe to use.
Safer purple phone
You can also contact Safer by accessing our Safer purple phone which is located at the Guille-Allés Public library. This is free to use if you have no credit or if your phone is not safe to use because your partner/ex partner may be monitoring your device.
Anyone needing to use the purple phone can go to the Library and ask for it at the Help point in the assembly room. Staff will hand it over, no questions asked, with instructions provided on where to make a call discreetly to Safer’s helpline or in an emergency the police.
