Join our Board

Safer, the Bailiwick’s Charity supporting victims of domestic abuse, is seeking expressions of interest from individuals looking to join our Board.

Applicants should ideally have experience at strategic level in one of the following areas:

  • HR
  • Finance/audit/accounting
  • Legal
  • Fundraising

Safer also welcome applicants who have had experience in Social Services or the Criminal Justice System.

General responsibilities will include:

  • Being an active member of the Board, providing organisational oversight and engaging in participative decision making to ensure Safer exemplifies its mission, vision and values
  • Safeguard the good name of Safer, promote a positive public profile, enhance its reputation and represent it as required
  • Monitor and assess the organisation’s results in relation to the agreed strategy and budget and to agree alternative action to remedy shortfalls if required

This is a voluntary position. Board members meet six times a year (where possible), time commitment is approximately 5 hours pcm. Safer is an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity. For further information on this position please email our Chair Fiona Naftel at fiona@safer.gg
